TeslaMic is introduced

Tesla has unveiled a new device, the TeslaMic, a microphone built for its in-car karaoke system. For the time being, it’s only available in China. Tesla began rolling out its ‘Chinese New Year’ software upgrade in China today.
Tesla, like the rest of the globe, frequently packages features into a larger end-of-year software update, which usually contains some entertaining additions.

Tesla took it a step further with the Chinese New Year update, releasing a tangible product as well. The ‘TeslaMic,’ a microphone meant to work with Leishi KTV, a karaoke system included in the update, was produced by the business. The gadget is available for 1,199 Chinese Yuan ($188 USD) on Telsa’s Chinese retail store:

The website for ordering the new microphone, which comes as a pair, has been down for a while. Tesla introduced a new in-car ‘Caraoke’ capability to its vehicles with the introduction of its V10 software in 2019. It only plays a small selection of music, with lyrics displayed on the central display. However, in China, with the new 2022.2.1 software update, the business is introducing a more comprehensive karaoke system that runs on the in-car computer and uses Leishi KTV’s interface and catalog:

The TeslaMic links instantly with the system, according to Tesla’s description, and it comes with a few sound settings to aid singers.

It may also be utilized outside of Tesla vehicles, as shown in a video demonstration of the 2022.2.1 software update posted to the automaker’s official Weibo account:

TeslaMic is only accessible in China, but the carmaker recently enlarged its US trademark to include audio equipment, as we previously reported. It’s possible that Tesla is getting ready to introduce the TeslaMic in new markets.

Karaoke is a popular activity in many Asian nations, and it has grown in popularity in China over the last decade, with over 50,000 karaoke places recorded on the mainland.
